Behold the Lamb of God.

I felt strongly that God gave me the vision of this piece. I hope it encourages your heart and soul, wherever you are at today. Christ loves you more than you can even imagine.

And for those who like the process posts, here’s a look at the sketched and inked drawing, before I added the color digitally. The red and blue background symbolize the blood of Christ shed for us, and the water of the Holy Spirit through baptism. The golden egg and flowers show how there is new life and a fresh start with Jesus by your side. And for those who don’t know, Jesus is described in the Bible as the Lamb of God. It’s a metaphor how how Christ came with all innocence and tenderness and love and yet chose to take on our sins, our shortcomings, through his death on the cross. That sacrifice brought incredible freedom for all of us. We can now hold on to this sweet, yet strong, Lamb and find all the love and support we will ever need.
“Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. 29 Place my yoke [a] over your shoulders, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble. Then you will find rest for yourselves 30 because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
-Matthew 11: 28-30 (GW)
