Cartoon Cicada Bug Popcorn Salesman
Here in Arizona, this is the season of cicadas. I was inspired to create a cicada character… after thinking a while, I decided he should be a popcorn seller!
What bug event do you think he’s selling his popcorn at?
In case you haven’t seen them up close before, here’s one from my front porch. I grew up in Arizona, loving the sound of cicadas this time of year. Some find the noise annoying, but I love it! Plus, they crawl out of the ground and shed their exoskeletons on trees, walls, etc. I still like flicking the empty shells off the trees. :)
